Terms & Conditions of Membership

About 70% of the membership fee goes to British Riding Clubs (based on 40 members). This covers the Club’s insurance, members insurance while participating at club events and HQ administration costs. The rest covers our administration costs in sending out newsletters, newsflashes etc. All new members must pay a joining fee of £3.50, as must current members who have let their membership lapse for more than 3 months from 1 January in that year.

DATA PROTECTION ACT
SDRC holds details of its members’ names, addresses and telephone numbers on a database. The data is used to maintain a complete listing of all members for SDRC to distribute newsletters and information to our members and to contact members by telephone regarding SDRC business. If any member objects to SDRC holing this data and using if for the purposes stated above please notify the secretary in writing and your details will be removed from the database.

INSURANCE
It is worth noting that there is sometimes confusion about the RC insurance cover. Your RC insurance cover only covers you while doing RC activities. It is therefore prudent to ensure that you are covered at least for your third party liability at all times.
