Alternatively ring Shirley on 01159212648 Shirley@horsesinsideout.com HORSES INSIDE OUT DISSECTION SERIES 2012 Royal Agricultural College Cirencester GL7 6JS Led by Dr Andrew Hemmings and Gillian Higgins, these hands on day courses offer a sensitive insight into the anatomy of the horse and provide a rare opportunity to look at the structures we influence by training and therapy. Sunday 22nd January - The Cranium. This includes the mouth, teeth, hyoid apparatus, musculature of the jaw, the TMJ and the influence of the brain on behaviour patterns. Sunday 12th February - The Limbs. From the wither and pelvis this will look at the musculature, stay apparatus, joints of the fore and hind limbs, the tendons and ligaments of the lower legs and the structure and function of the hoof. Sunday 4th March - The Spine. Gillian will focus on the joints, ligaments, musculature and their effect on movement whilst Andrew will focus on the central nervous system, the neural plexus and the nerves. Sunday 25th March - The Internal Organs. This includes the digestive and reproductive systems, the heart, lungs, spleen and liver. Sunday 8th December - The Spine Date - to be confirmed.
