Christine Beaven  Dip ET - EQUINE TOUCH PRACTITIONER

I have always loved horses whatever the shape or size. As a child I would do anything to be with them. As a teenager I competed in the Pony Club games and was lucky enough to compete at The Horse Of The Year Show. All the ponies were all owned by the trainer and I wasn’t able to buy my very own until I was in my twenties - a beautiful pure bred Arab called Melissah.  Melissah helped me through a lot of difficult times, she was always there for me and never judged me.

I lost Mel a few years ago and having seen Equine Touch in action I decided I would learn how to do ET and try and give something back to other horses and to thank Mel for all she had given me.

I have worked in many equestrian disciplines polo, hunting, eventing, racehorses, both jump and flat, and can understand the pressure physically and emotionally that our horses and ourselves are under every day.

The Equine Touch is a non-diagnostic, non-invasive, hands on system of bodywork addressing the whole horse with an organised series of unique, gentle vibrational moves over soft tissue. The Equine Touch offers a holistic rebalancing of the horses physical and emotional well being.

Equine Touch can:

       Induce deep relaxation
       Release hypertonic and traumatised muscles
Encourage muscle tone recovery from injury and atrophy
Increase range of movement and enhance performance
       Reduce the pain spiral
Assist in detoxification and lymphatic drainage

Each session consists of a series of moves performed over specific points of the body in predetermined patterns, which are interspersed with observation periods to enable the horse to recognise and process the effects of the work.

Please discuss your wish for your horse to receive an Equine Touch session with your vet prior to an Equine Touch Practitioner visit.
