In The Press!
We are still getting members regularly mentioned in various horse press. This is fantastic publicity if the club is given a mention and a testament to all your hard work.
Kerry Alexander & her lovely cob Jake had a lovely mention in Horse & Hound in December when they competed at the Horse Trial Championships.
Please check your horses competition history when entering
qualifiers for Riding Club. He/She may be an old hand at dressage,
eventing or show jumping with a stash of points or winnings to their name.
This may rule them out of competing at lower levels or you may have to apply for down grading. Talk to your team co-ordinator if you are unsure.
A search can usually be done on the internet under your horses passport name & number.

Be part of the action!
This winter has seen the worst rains falling for many years, flooding much of the south west. Thankfully our locality although very wet & muddy has not entirely gone underwater. We hope that our members have managed to keep their homes, horses & fields as protected as possible. Our face book page is an excellent way to call for help in times of emergency. There is a great camaraderie between horsey people and it seems nothing is ever too much trouble, be it hay & bedding or a complete move of stable for a few days until the water subsides. We hope that very soon things will start to dry up and life will return to normal with happy exercised horses and stress free riders.

There were a number of ideas brought forward from members for clinics & training days such as: Painted horse (muscles & how they move) demo, Mechanical Horse, Barn Dance, Team Clothing, these will all be looked into & hopefully we will get some in place for the Spring & Summer months.
