Welcome to the Summer edition of the SDRC newsletter :-)
If you have any results or articles you would like me to include please contact me at the email below. It would be great to have contact from new and old members, so even if we don't get to meet at clinics we can still keep updated with your achievements.
I look forward to hearing all your news. Sally Humphries
Set for T.V
Long-term member Lucie Humphries is set to make her TV debut on spotty horse Steve after qualifying in the Sport-horse Jumping which should be televised at the end of August on Horse & Country. Though a bit of an outsider she may not be a sure bet but will give it her all in the 1.10 & 1.20 competition.

Juniors take off in Style
We now find a very strong contingent of junior riders. They may only be few but they are fearless. Faith Jolley is regularly competing most weekends in a variety of events including her much loved show-jumping as well as a dabble in working hunter & in-hand. This young lady is quickly covering every available space in her home with trophy's & rosettes thanks to trusted steed Gina.
Jess Saunders has shown her star quality at the West Wilts ODE qualifier coming 2nd in the 80cm section on Westside Donegal Mirah, now going forward to the National Championships at Swalcliffe in early August. We wish them the best of luck there.
Lowenna & Finch go from strength to strength in both show jumping & Dressage, qualified for the National Championships in Lincoln in September & hoping for success.
Senior Members not to be out done!
Holly Horton has rode to success on both Boris & young Cookie now competing at BE 90 & 100, coming 4th at Gatcombe.
Eleanor & new mount Dolly are striving ahead with their partnership, coming 3rd at Swalcliffe ODE & now too progressing onto BE courses, though not affiliating as of yet.
Lynne Hawkins & Bubbling under qualified for the dressage championships for retrained racehorses, pretty much being hoof perfect an exceptional team.
The BRC national champs for Combined Training was well represented in May by SDRC, unfortunately spooky condition proved a little too much for some of the horses, however young horse Max ridden by Amanda Fitzgerald did come 10th overall.
Sue & Jazz still remain Dressage Divas gaining top marks in their competitions on a regular basis.
A great group of ladies also headed off to the hallowed turf of Badminton to strut their stuff in Dressage, with two teams coming 8th & another coming 10th, Millie & Demi both also went through to individual champs on the day with excellent comments from the judges.
Laura & her beautiful horse Meachem Reality have completed their first BE 90 coming 2nd at Crown Farm so we look forward to hearing more of their results in the future.
We hope you will be inspired to give the qualifiers a go & hopefully gain a place at one of the championships.
