Joining SDRC ....
BRC are changing the way we join/renew our membership. This is to bring us into line with other club sports allowing each riding club to have their own ‘club portal’ to manage memberships and increase data security.
Information regarding the launch of the new online membership platform was included in BRC’s November e-newsletter to all members.
BRC have transferred all existing members onto the Sport80 system and links to activate your profile have been emailed to you from Sport80.
If you are having difficulties accessing the portal or cannot find the email sent to you, please message
Lindsay Cook and i will send you a link.
Any NEW members who join the club via the Sport80 system will automatically have a renewal date 12 months’ time from their join date, as the new system will support annual rolling memberships.
Payments will no longer be made direct to SDRC, they will be taken via card through the portal by each member.
New members receive a voucher for a FREE 30 minute private lesson with Caron Roberts worth £55 which for a small fee can be upgraded to 1 hour.

Renewing your membership .....
For current members you will be automatically prompted to renew your membership when your renewal date is up this will be 31 December 2023. However, we will be offering you the chance to renew your membership during December at a reduced rate. Membership is now open and can be purchased via the portal.
Membership Fees 2024:
BRC are increasing their fees from January 2024 to us, from £20 per member to £24. In addition to these charges, we pay an annual insurance to BRC per member leaving us very little to run the club. Sadly, due to these increases we are no longer able to offer discounted rates to our juniors and must increase our membership fees for 2024
Prices:
From 1 Jan 2024 SDRC membership fees will be as follows:
Senior and Junior Renewal - £32.00*
Senior and Junior New Member - £35.00* (this includes a free 30-minute lesson with Caron Roberts)
*Please note the online system provider charges £1.50 per member on top of this fee

Once you have joined/renewed please send or update your horse's details to Lindsay Cook
We require your horse's name (passport name) horse passport number and microchip number
** UELN stands for Unique Equine Life Number. A UELN is a Passport Number, but a Passport number is not necessarily a UELN.
A UELN is always 15 digits long and for UK passports will start '826'. The next 3 digits indicate the Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO). e.g. '826004' is the prefix for the BHS. The final 9 digits are the unique identifier for that horse within that organisation. Passports issued in other EU countries will have a different UELN prefix. e.g. '372' for Ireland (inc NI). For a full list see www.ueln.net.
All horse passports issued since 2004 SHOULD have a UELN as its passport number and all passports issued in the EU after July 2009 MUST have a UELN as its passport number, so eventually all passport numbers will be a UELN. All other passports will have a Passport Number. You should NOT just add the prefix of the PIO to a Passport Number as this does not always create a valid UELN - just use the passport number.
